PLAYS IN PROCESS ....

Salvation Road

How do you argue with someone
who already has The Answer?
Cliff Kozak is about to find out.

A one-act play originally produced at The Philadelphia Fringe Festival.
I'm currently at work on a full-length version, which is  scheduled for a reading at Active Cultures theatre in October.

Salvation Road is the story of a talented young musician caught up  in the fervor a new religious movement. Is she a victim, or a willing participant? When she cuts off her family as a "toxic threat" to her newly discovered faith, her cynical younger brother and his best friend are forced to take action.

DIRTY PICTURES

Judy’s disability ensures that most guys write her off, even though she almost single-handedly keeps Dan Brigg’s saloon going. The only guy who looks at her twice is Chet, an out-of-work meatpacker overdue on his bills. But Judy has eyes on bigger game. How can she get Dan away from Bonnie, a waitress so attractive that she earns big tips just for spilling beer on the customers? A mysterious package of snapshots just might be the key.

A comedy for two women, two men.

Developed at Theatre of the First Amendment, in Fairfax, Va. Readings at Woolly Mammoth, Playwrights Theatre of New Jersey, and New Jersey Rep.
