If I don't write to empty my mind, I go mad. -- Lord Byron
Lies and More Lies

Fooled ya didn't I? Admit it. You thought I was a guy. Right?

Because we all know how much testosterone it takes to write  a play.

Well don't feel bad. Unless you've already checked me out at Dramatic. Or read my blithering ruminations on the ICWP list ... how would you know?

And I don't mind.  You can think I'm a martian if you want to ... so long as you read my plays.

True Lies About Me

In case you need a bio, here's my life in one paragraph:

D.W. Gregory is a recovering theatre critic and playwright whose work has been produced throughout the United States and abroad.  Her most popular title is 'Radium Girls,' about the dialpainters who worked with radium-laced paint in the 1920s.  Other plays include Molumby's Million, a comedy about the boxer Jack Dempsey; October 1962, a psychological suspense drama;  the Good Daughter, an epic love story;  the Good Girl Is Gone, a black comedy. She is also the author of several one-act plays, including So Tell Me About This Guy, a comedy featured in Actors Theatre of Louisville's MATCH GAMES, which premiered in early 2009.  In addition to writing plays, Ms. Gregory occasionally teaches playwriting. She is a founding member of The Playwrights' Gymnasium, a process-oriented workshop in Washington, D.C. Gregory is a member of the Dramatists Guild and a resident playwright at New Jersey Repertory Company,  which premiered The Good Daughter,  in October 2003.
