D.W.  Gregory is a resident playwright at New Jersey Repertory Co., where her drama The Good Daughter recently premiered. This critically acclaimed production broke all previous box office records at the theatre and earned the play a  nomination for the Pulitzer Prize.

Gregory is the author of five other full-length plays and several short comedies that have been widely produced. Her work has been developed at the New Harmony Project, The Shenandoah International Playwrights Retreat, and the Mount Sequoyah New Play Retreat. Her drama Radium Girls was produced with a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts and developed under The Ensemble Studio Theatre/Alfred P. Sloan Science and Technology Fund. Its premiere, at Playwrights Theatre of New Jersey, was named the 'Best New Play' of the 1999-2000 season by the Newark Star-Ledger. It, too, broke all previous box office records for the producing theatre. The playscript is available from Dramatic Publishing, which is scheduled to publish Gregory's dark comedy, The Good Girl Is Gone, in 2004. 

Gregory holds an M.F.A. in drama from the Catholic University of America and a B.A. in English Literature from Seton Hill University. She lives in suburban Washington, D.C., with her husband Paul, a bluegrass musician.
