MOLUMBY'S MILLION 
nominated for Barrymore Award.

My comedy about Jack Dempsey and the sack of Shelby was produced by Iron Age Theatre in  November 2010 and caught the notice of the Philadelphia Theatre Alliance, which nominated the script for the Independence Foundation Award for Outstanding New Play.


              

SALVATION ROAD


This comic drama about a brother's search for a sister lost inside a religious cult is one of six plays selected for development by New Leaf Theatre in Chicago. It received a reading Sept. 28.

On Sept. 5, Salvation Road was presented in a reading at the Kennedy Center's Stage to Page festival, by Bowie State University.


Salvation Road was the winner of the Alliance for Theatre in Education's Playwrights in Our Schools (PIOS) residency -- taking me to Salt Lake City for four days in May to work on the script with the University of Utah Youth Theatre.

A reading of my new comedy received a knock-out industry read in NYC in April and was one of 10 finalists for Hot City Theatre's Greenhouse Development series. 




 

RADIUM GIRLS across the country.

My drama about the dialpainters poisoned on the job in the 1920s continues to be a popular title. with 44 productions around the country in 2010-11. In the 2011-12 season so far, 30 productions are scheduled, including  month-long runs in March 2012 at Beowulf Alley Theatre, Tucson; and West Coast Players, Clearwater, Fla.

In addition, The Burlington Players in Burlington, Mass., and Arena Civic Theatre, in Turners Falls, Mass., have scheduled productions in the spring.

RECENT PUBLICATIONS

Playscripts.com brought out my short comedy, The Savage Sex (retitled Madame Poisson's Guide to Health, Wealth & Murder).

Miracle in Mudville (pictured),  one of five plays I wrote for Imagination Stage's Speak Out on Stage program, was published last year by YouthPlays.com. This baseball comedy received a production by the Tibbits Youth Theatre in Coldwater, MI, in the spring of 2010.
